Tom Brady, the NFL's golden boy, may throw his helmet into the political ring after his football career is over.

Brady attended the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday night (the dinner that featured Laura Bush' memorable stand-up bit) and told ABC's "This Week," which aired Sunday, that politics could provide him leadership opportunities.

The native Californian hasn't publicly discussed his political leanings. He was a guest of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush in her VIP box during the State of the Union speech in 2004.
