I'm skeptical that just because the group claiming responsibility for the London Attack is calling itself, "The Secret Al Qaeda Jihad Organization in Europe" that they are in any significant way affiliated with the Al Qaeda of Sept 11, 2001.

It's easier for the US, and Britain to think they are fighting some homogeneous enemy.

The response I got from a lot of people yesterday was:

"We need to just drop a nuke on Al Qaeda, finish them off once and for all."

Sounds like a fine strategy to me. I'm not much of a pacifist myself. If there were a nuke that you could drop and take out every would-be Al Qaeda terrorist then I would be all for it.

However, "Al Qaeda" has become an idea as much as an actual terrorist organization that can be defeated. It is now in the same class as words like Jihad and Nazi.

For instance, white supremacists may identify with Hitler, and may call themselves Neo-Nazis. Islamic Extremists identify with Osama Bin Laden and end up calling themselves Al Qaeda.
However, this is just one humble man's conjecturing.

I could be completely wrong. So if in fact there is some coordinated global Al Qaeda organization...

The next time Al Qaeda Worldwide meets for their Annual G8 Terror Summit in Kabul. We should drop that Nuke on them and finish them off once and for all.
